On September 15th, Seraphim Editions will launch Emails from India: Women Write Home, an anthology of personal reflections from 27 writer-travellers. I am one of the contributors. The upcoming launch is exciting--the book has taken a few years to finally come together. More exciting is the fact that the publisher and the anthology's editor, Janis Harper, have agreed to donate $1 from every print copy sold to World Literacy Canada (WLC), a non-profit organization that supports literacy programs for women in India. I've been a volunteer in WLC's office and at their famous Kama Benefit Reading Series for the last couple of years. Come to the launch, or check out World Literacy Canada's website. Thanks Janis and Seraphim! | |
